Alabama football radio announcers comprise Eli Gold, Tyler Watts, and Christian Miller. Ellie Gold serves as a play-by-play for the team.

The University of Alabama's football radio announcing history dates back to the early 1920s, when the first games were broadcast on local FM stations. The Crimson Tide's transmission network has expanded to include over 500 stations nationwide.

The rich history of the team's FM announcing spans over nine decades. W.B. Jons was the first play-by-play announcer for Bama games. He called the Bama's first national championship game in 1926.

Likewise, Paul Kennedy served as a play-by-play for the Crimson Tide from 1983 to 1988. He has called the most highlighted game which was the 1985 Iron Bowl game for the team. It was played on November 30, 1985, at Legion Field in Birmingham.

Eli Gold is the current announcer for the Tide's games. He is the longest-tenured in the post since 1989 and is serving till the date in the post. The Team's transmission announcing has been a part of the program's tradition for nearly 100 years.

Alabama game announcers today cover Brad Nessler in play-by-play, Gary Danielson as Analyst, and Jenny Dell as the sideline reporter.

The Iron Bowl game between Bama and Auburn was his final broadcast marking the end of an era for the veteran announcer. He had been calling SEC championship games since 1982.

He received a descriptive farewell from fans, who thanked him for his years of service to the SEC and to CBS.

Jenny Dell is in the Sideline Duty

Dell served as the Sideline reporter for the Crimson Tide gridiron game on 25th November. She has been the sideline reporter for CBS Sports college games since 2013.

She has also covered the 2018 Iron Bowl game between the Red Elephants and Auburn. In that game, Bama was able to take over Aubies with 52-21. In that game, Tua Tagovailoa threw five touchdown passes and ran for a score to lead No.1 winning the game.

Jenny used to report on NFL games for CBS in 2014 and covered the Boston Red Sox for NESN. She now co-hosts a food show called Campus Eats on the Big Ten Network since 2016.

Tyler Watts

Tyler Watts has stepped in as an Analyst for the Crimson Tide game in 2022. He is a former Quarterback for the University of Alabama.

He will be serving alongside the crew members Gold and Nessler.

During his time at the university in the year 1999, Watts was part of the team that won the Southeastern Conference championship. At that period of time, he played as a backup to Andrew Zow.

As he progressed through his years at the university, Watts got more time on the field. He did pretty well, boasting a 61.9% completion rate which was best during his college days.

Brad Nessler

Nessler started his journey with CBS Sports and showcased his skills in various sports. This includes the NFL, College Football, and both men's and women's college basketball across 1990 and 1991.

Brad Nessler joined ESPN in 1992 after resigning from CBS. He started with college basketball and then moved on to cover Big Ten and Thursday night football games.

His career got even bigger when he joined ABC Sports in 1997. He regularly lent his commentary expertise to the EA Sports' NCAA grid game series, often teaming up with Kirk Herbstreit.
