Magic Johnson Commanders ownership percentage is 4%. Johnson, Mellody Hobson, and Condoleezza Rice are a few black co-owner of an NFL team.

Commanders has never had an African-American person join the team as either owner or co-owner since its establishment in 1932 as the "Boston Braves." Former Lakers point guard Earvin Johnson Jr. changed NFL history on July 2023 as the first person of color to join the team as a minority owner.

He had already written his name down in MLB history when he became the first African-American owner of an MLB team in 2012.

Since retiring in 1991 from basketball, Johnson turned his attention to business. He is the CEO of a $1 billion company Magic Johnson Enterprises and has investments put up in multiple enterprises including Fanatics headed by founder Michael Rubin.

Johnson marked his first sports team ownership in June 1994 after spending $10 million for a 4.5% stake in the Los Angeles Lakers. Almost sixteen years later, he sold his stake in 2010 only to invest in Dodgers in 2012.

A $50 million investment earned him a 2.3% ownership stake in the MLB team. In 2014, he became part owner of Sparks and LAFC.

Josh Harris is a good owner who increased the value of Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils after coming to own them.

Before Harris was the owner of the 76ers in 2011, the season ticket holders were 3,500. Today, the numbers are more than 14,000, according to HBSE. The value of the NBA team went from $469 million in 2014 to $3.15 billion in 2022.

Last season, the Devils tied the largest single-season turnaround in NHL history.

During weekly calls, Harris is interested in hearing about the team, from where they need to get better to how they are going to do it. According to the 76ers president, Daryl Morey, Josh wants to know alternatives as well as about the timing of their decision.

Dan Snyder Bought Redskins For How Much?

Dan Snyder bought Redskins for $800 million in 1999 at age 34. Snyder invested $120 million in cash and family members put up $90 million.

Another $90 million came from Fred Drasner and Mort Zuckerman. The two were original investors in Snyder Communications.

When the 31 NFL owners approved the sale of the Redskins and Jack Kent Cooke Stadium to the team led by Snyder on May 25, 1999, it ended the 25 years of majority ownership of the Cooke family. At the time, Snyder was a Bethesda marketing executive.

John Cooke lost the bid for the team and inherited 10% of the sale price as dictated by his father's will. His bid reached the highest at $750 million, which fell short of Snyder's.

For many years, John looked over everything as team president from his office at Redskins Park. His father had handed him the responsibility to look over stadium operations, hiring of personnel, and finances.

As per Jack's will, the trustees of the estate used the proceeds from the Redskins to establish Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. John had been removed from the will as Jack's successor in 1993.

Magic Johnson Dodgers Ownership Percent

Magic Johnson Dodgers ownership percentage is 2.3%. Johnson became part owner of the Dodgers in 2012.
