NFL pension eligibility age is above 55. But if the player had a Credited Season before 1993, then may be able to receive a pension a decade earlier at age 45.

How Many Years Do You Have To Play In The NFL To Get A Pension
The NFL players must play for three seasons to get a pension. They are eligible to receive benefits negotiated under the collective bargaining agreement.
They earn credit for each season they play. The amount of pensions depends upon their credit. The player can get more pension amount if they provide more credit.
If a player wants to receive money earlier then he may receive lesser money plus penalties for taking a pension earlier. The benefit greatly increases for the player who can wait until 65 to take a pension.
If the players retire at a young age, they cannot access their full NFL retirement benefits.
OJ Simpson Pension From NFL
OJ Simpson NFL pension monthly is $4,034 if he elected to take it out at age 55 and $10,565 if he took it out at 65.
Simpson spent 11 seasons in the National Football League where he played 9 seasons with the Buffalo Bills and 2 seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. As he played before 1982, he receives $250 for every season played. Multiplying that with 11 results in $2750 a month.
A settlement from 2011 allows former players to receive an extra monthly payment of $124 per season played before 1975 and $108 per season after that. As OJ played six years before 1975 and 5 years afterward, he gets extra cash of $1284. The total adds up to $4024 monthly if he collected it starting at 55 years old.
Simpson was widely known as the greatest running back of all time and had a total of 14,368 yards and scored 76 touchdowns during his career.
The running back is an inductee of the College Football Hall of Fame in 1983 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985.
