James Brown
James served as a play-by-play since 1987. He has been calling NBA and NFL games since then. He has also served as a sideline reporter for the NBA Finals and MLB National League Championship Series in the early 1990s.
He has also worked as a studio host for the 1992 Winter Olympics. In 1994, he moved to FOX, hosting their pregame show and FOX NHL Saturday. He returned to CBS in 2006, becoming a key figure in their franchise coverage, handling various roles.
Phil Simms
Simms transitioned into broadcasting, starting at ESPN in 1994. He later joined NBC’s NFL broadcasting crew and also covered weightlifting competitions at the 1996 Summer Olympics.
He has also worked as a sideline reporter for NBA games. In 1998, Simms moved to the channel, where he has remained ever since. During his tenure at CBS, he has served as a color commentator alongside Greg Gumbel and Jim Nantz.
Phil is also a former National Football League Quarterback who played for the New York Giants. Over there he had a promising career winning two Super Bowl titles.
Simms has been a studio analyst for the company since 2017. After a stellar 15-season National Football League career. He was inducted into the New York Giants Ring of Honor, and the team retired his jersey number 11 in his honor.
Boomer Esiason
Boomer Esiason has been a Studio Analyst for Verizon since 2002. Esiason contributes his expertise to the sports channel in different NFL-related programs.
The show includes The NFL Today, Inside the NFL, and his radio show, Boomer and Gio, broadcast on CBS Sports Network and WFAN Radio.
Esiason had a distinguished franchise career after being drafted in the second round in 1984. He played for 14 years with the Cincinnati Bengals, where he led them to the Super Bowl in 1988.
After retiring from football, Esiason also worked in broadcasting, serving as a color analyst for USA Network's World League of American Football broadcasts. After that, he joined ABC as a commentator for Monday Night Football.
He holds the record for broadcasting the most Super Bowls (19) as the lead analyst for Westwood One radio network from 2000-2018.
Nate Burleson
Nate Burleson is a former wide receiver and has been a studio analyst for the National Football League on CBS since 2017. He served for 11 years with the Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, and Minnesota Vikings after being drafted in the 2003 Draft.
Burleson was part of the inaugural cast of Good Morning Football (GMFB) on the franchise Network in 2016. He joined the network in 2017 while still co-hosting GMFB
He has also worked as the Color Commentator for the NFL Nickelodeon Wild Card games in 2021 and 2022. He expanded his role by becoming a co-anchor on CBS Mornings in 2021 and hosting Nickelodeon's weekly highlight show.
Due to his increased commitments in the network, Burleson left the GMFB casting. His contributions were recognized with two Sports Emmy Awards for Outstanding Studio Analyst in 2021 and 2022.
