ESPN Football analysts former players are Troy Aikman and Eric Allen. ESPN female college football announcers are Beth Mowins and Holly Rowe.

The NFL was established in 1920 as the name called American Professional Football Association.

National Football League is an American Football League that Includes 32 groups divided into conferences of 16 teams each. NFL is one of the professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada.

NFL season starts from early September to early January with each team playing 17 games and having per week one game.

The National Football leagues have a contract with five networks which include: ABC, CBS, ESPN, Fox, and NBC.

ESPN football came up with a mix of veteran voices, familiar faces, famous commentators, and newcomers.


ESPN College Football Commentators

ESPN college football announcers consist of Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Holly Rowe, Sean McDonough, Todd Blackledge, Joe Tessitore, and more.

The most experienced announcer Verne Lundquist also worked for college football as an announcer.

ESPN began its 22nd season of college football with two familiar primetime commentator teams and ESPN Thursday Night Primetime featured the three-man booth of Mike Tirico, Lee Corso, and Kirk Herbstreit.

Chris Fowler

Chris Fowler is known for his work on College GameDay and College Football which he hosted from 1990 to 2014.

He is an American reporter for ESPN who works as a play-by-play announcer for Saturday Night Football on ABC and Tennis coverage on ESPN.

Flower started his ESPN journey in 1986 as the host of Scholastic Sports America and in 1998 he works as a college football sideline reporter for two seasons.

Kirk Herbstreit

Kirk Herbstreit is a former football player at the college level who works as an American sportscaster.

As an Analyst for ESPN College GameDay, Herbstreit provides color commentary on college football games on ESPN and ABC and Thursday night NFL games.

Herbstreit has worked at ESPN since 1996 and has since earned roles as the lead analyst on College Gameday with other team members. He was nominated for a 1997 Sports Emmy Award as the television best studio analyst.

Holly Rowe

Holly Rowe is an American sports broadcaster working for ESPN television network and also a sideline reporter for college football and basketball games which are broadcast on ESPN.

She has been working with ESPN since 1998 as a full-time College football sideline reporter. Being a woman in the field of sports telecasting industry, Rowe has been profiled by other media.

ESPN Football Analysts

ESPN college football analysts are Greg McElroy, Dusty Dvoracek, Dan Orlovsky, and Rod Gilmore. Kirk Herbstreit is also on the list.

Kirk Herbstreit was admired as Sports TV's best analyst and awarded the best Sports Emmy for outstanding event analyst. Overall, he was granted twice for best Studio Analyst for his work on Gameday.

During the initial season of ESPN Sunday Night, Joe Theismann was assigned as a lead analyst beginning in 1988.

Greg McElroy

Gregory McElroy works as a college football analyst for Saturday games on ABC and ESPN. McElroy is a retired quarterback in the NFL and an American football commentator.

He was appointed at ESPN in 2014 as an analyst for SEC Network. Similarly, McElroy also worked as an analyst for ABC and ESPN coverage of the XFL in 2020.

McElroy completed his degree in Business Marketing and also gain a Master of Science degree in sport management in 2010 from the University of Alabama.

Dusty Dvoracek

Dusty Dvoracek is a college football analyst on ESPN and ABC Saturday games, working with play-by-play commentator Dave Pasch.

Dvoracek is a retired American football nose guard. He played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners as a captain. From 2006 to 2009, he played with Berars. Next season, Dusty was a player for the Ohama Nighthawks of the United football league from 2010 to 1011.

Dan Orlovsky

Dan Orlovsky began his ESPN journey in 2018 and appeared on NFL Live in 2019.

Orlovsky is a college football and NFL analyst. The former American football quarterback was active for twelve seasons in the NFL. He played for several teams during his sports career which includes:

In 1998, Lesley Visser became the first woman ever to work as an announcer for Monday Night Football. ESPN has 1,250 total employees where 33% of female works in different role, while 67% are male.

Beth Mowins

Beth Mowins is a 55-year-old college football announcer. Hailing from New York, Mowins works as a play-by-play announcer and sports reporter for ESPN, CBS, and Sports Network.

Mowins made history in 2005 as the second woman to call ESPN's nationally televised college football games. She became the first female telecaster to call an NFL game since Gayle Sierens worked a regional broadcast 30 years earlier for NBC. Beth was also part of ESPN's 2011 Women's World Cup coverage in Germany.

In the fall, Mowins works in ESPN and ABC Saturday games with colleagues Kirk Morrison and Stormy Buonantony.

Hannah Storm

Hannah Storm joined the ESPN team on May 10, 2008, as an anchor on SportsCenter to cover the highlights and to question analysts about the sports.

Hannah is an outstanding journalist and has decades of experience as a storyteller. In 2018, Storm and Andrea Kremer made broadcasting history when they became a play-by-play announcer on Amazon Prime Video during Thursday Night Football.

She is also part of the first female duo ever to telecast a sports series in America, and the first female team to work as a commentator on NFL games.

Samantha Ponder

Samantha Ponder is an American sports telecaster who is the television host of Sunday NFL Countdown on ESPN with Randy Moss, Tedy Bruschi, and others.

Before hosting Sunday NFL Countdown, Ponder was hoster and reporter on ESPN's College GameDay with Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard.

Andrea Kremer

Andrew Kremer is an American television sports reporter and a multi-Emmy Award Winner. She began as a sports editor for the main line Chronicle in 1982.

Currently, Kremer is known as a Thursday Night Football game for Amazon Prime video making sports history with Hannah Storm.

In 2011, she was named one of the 10 greatest female sports broadcasters of all time. Kermer was honored by the pro football Hall of Fame as the Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award recipient.

She is a Correspondent for HBO's Real Sports Bryant Gumbler and co-host of We Need To Talk.

Michelle Beisner-Buck

Michelle Beisner-Buck is a former NFL cheerleader and actress, and currently a reporter for ESPN.

Before joining the ESPN Team, she was an NFL Network Personality, basically hosting NFL Weekly Countdown and NFL Network Now, and worked as a field reporter for NFL Total Acess and NFL GameDay Morning.

Beisner-Bruck trained as an actor and dancer and she was a member of The Denver Broncos Cheerleaders from 1990 to 2003.

Suzy Kolber

Suzy Kolber is an American football sideline reporter, co-producer, and sports broadcaster for ESPN.

Kolber officially joined ESPN in 1993 and is the mainstay of the company's NFL coverage.

She was granted as the first female recipient of the Maxwell Football Club's sports broadcaster of the Year award in 2006.

Kolber completed her graduation from the University of Miami in 1986 with a Bachelor of art degree in telecommunications.
