Joe Burrow leads the chart as the highest-paid QB in the NFL at $55 million annually. The 'Joe Shiesty' agreed to extend his contract with the Bengals in the 2023 season.

Other players agreed upon their new contracts or extensions before the 2023 NFL season. Justin Herbert with the Los Angeles Chargers, Jalen Hurts with the Philadelphia Eagles, and Lamar Jackson with the Baltimore Ravens signed their agreement.

The quarterback in the League is often the highest-paid position, and rightfully so, considering the contribution.

They lead the offense and make bold and crucial decisions during the play. Besides, they are also the face of the franchise for marketing and promotion.

Let's look at the names of highest paid NFL quarterbacks in the order below:

1. Joe Burrow

After signing 5 five-year contract extension deal with the Cincinnati Bengals amidst the 2023 season, Joe Burrow became the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL.

The 26-year-old player is the Heisman Trophy winner who was picked by the Bengals in the 2020 NFL Draft. His association benefited the franchise immensely, as he has already taken the team to two AFC titles.

During the first four games of the 2023 season, the quarterback had to deal with a calf injury. He remains out for the entire 2023-24 season to put salt to the wound.

Still young, 2024-25 could be the year the Bengals messiah finally wins an MVP.

He will reck in $179.3 million as guaranteed money, and his 2024 and 2025 bonuses amount to $38.875 million and $40.83 million, respectively. The agreement favors the player to take in option bonuses until 2028. The numbers are $49.785 million in 2026, $44.655 million in 2027, and $39.61 million at the end.

It is also the first contract in the Philadelphia Eagles' history with a no-trade clause. The incentive category will see a $15 million, while every NFL MVP and Super Bowl win will escalate Hurts salary by $500,000. One of the highest-paid NFL QBs also received a $110 million signing bonus.

( Source : instagram )

The player's base salary for this 2023 season is $1.7 million, which will reach $29 million in 2024. The agreement pays him, and he will face an annual $500,000 de-escalation for missing workouts.

While the potential out of the player is estimated for 2024, Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, still seems to have believed in Prescott that he could lead the team to the Super Bowl championship. Don't fool yourself with inconsistencies; he is still one of the best when he finds his rhythm.

The agreement features No Tag Provision and a Full No Trade Clause. The player suffered a season-ending Achilles tear at the beginning of the 2023 season, which shattered the Jets fans to a greater extent.

But some hopes persist, considering he is set to return in late December to push for the possible wildcard spot.

15. Kirk Cousins

( Source : instagram )

Cousins agreed upon a one-year $35 million fully guaranteed contract by the Minnesota Vikings. The player received a signing bonus of $25 million, and the average annual salary is $35 million.

17. Ryan Tannehill

( Source : instagram )

His base salary for this season is $27 million. This is the last year of his four year deal with the Titans, which came in 2020. The player is all set to hit free agency next March and is currently benched to let Rookie player Will Levis start. This season, he scored two touchdowns and six interceptions.

( Source : instagram )

The player received $33.75M guaranteed at signing, and his roster bonus for 2024 reads $11.25 million. Although the Raiders grabbed the QB to answer their quest for a quarterback, he has not met the franchise's expectations.

After Antonio Pierce became the interim head coach after Josh McDaniels's firing, he benched Garoppolo and gave a chance to rookie Aidan O’Connell. The veteran has passed for 7 touchdowns and 9 interceptions this season, a poor showing for once Kyle Shanahan's winning chess piece.

20. Jordan Love

( Source : instagram )

Jordan Love is under a $13.5 million single-year contract with the Green Bay Packers that will give the player $13 million as guaranteed money. He received a signing bonus of $9.8 million.
