Joel Klatt wife Sara Ordway Klatt wedded the NFL color commentator in May 2005. Sara is originally from Highlands Ranch in Colorado.

Joel is a college football color commentator from Arvada, Colorado. He is an analyst for Fox Sports. In addition, he has had a decent career in minor-league baseball for two seasons.

However, he saw success in college football. Klatt participated in college football for the University of Colorado. The analyst started his career in football in high school.

Klatt played high school football under his father, Gary Klatt, at Pomona High School in Arvada, Colorado. He also competed in basketball as a guard for Pomona.

San Diego Padres drafted third baseman Klatt in the eleventh round of the 2000 Major League Baseball draft. After the mini-camp, New Orleans signed him to a free-agent contract as he was not selected in the 2006 NFL draft, but the team released him on June 2, 2006.

For instance, Joel uploaded a picture of himself, his partner, and his kids on January 2022. They were at Rose Bowl Stadium, an outdoor athletic stadium in Pasadena, to watch a football game.
