When Is NFL Salute To Service Month?
NFL Salute to Service Month 2023 is from 1 to 30 November. Every year, an entire month of honoring the US military personnel falls in November.
Each year, 32 people are nominated throughout the league. Football fans can head to NFL.com/SaluteFanVote and cast their vote till November 30.
Based on fans' votes, the top three finalists are selected. They are revealed in January, and the winner will be announced at NFL Honors. The prime-time awards special will be conducted in the Super Bowl week in February.
A group of esteemed personalities selects the winner. The 2023 panelists are:
- Ron Rivera: Washington Commanders Head Coach
- Lenny Bandy: U.S. Marine Corps veteran and NFL Vice President of Security
- Chad Hennings: Three-time Super Bowl Winner with Dallas Cowboys and Air Force Academy graduate
- Robert Whittle: Retired Major General, USAA Senior Vice President, and Chief of Staff
- Jim Mora: Former NFL head coach and Senior Marine Corps veteran
The award recipient gets $25K from USAA and another 25 grand from the NFL. The prize money is donated to the military or veteran charity chosen by the winner.

The 2022 Award was handed to Commanders head coach Ron Rivera. He accepted the award in the name of his father, who served 32 years in the US military.

Games Schedule
The 2023 Salute to Service games commenced on the 2nd of November. The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted the Tennessee Titans at the Acrisure Stadium.
The Steelers cruised past the Titans by 20-16. They have improved to 5-3 and are in second place in the AFC North standings.
